So...I just spent a happy hour or two adding prompts to the prompt post at HP_Kinkfest over at LJ...

I knew that I was a pairing whore before now, but...dear god...
27 pairings total out of all the prompts, only four of which repeat, Harry/Draco with 10 and Severus/Remus with 5, and Remus/Regulus and Draco/Scorpius with 2 each. Not to mention five of the others were trios...

So much good stuff over there. Even if you don't plan to play...it's great inspiration. :D

bit of a ding up from today's storm. Once again we are on the edge of the system and I'm glad to not be experiencing the full force of a storm.

daughter's concert pics We were geeky parents and shot loads of pictures. Just think, the baby is a Junior at Uni. One more year and she'll graduate.

Finally, I've been participating in adventdrabbles this year. So far, I've been writing about Aurora Sinistra. Yesterday's had her daughter in it.
I'm toying the prompt for day 9 has me toying with writing something featuring Poppy/Rodolphus. What do you all think?

ack! I re-emerge from the wifi wasteland!  I'm still on the road, all cozy in a motel in Ohio while the sleet comes down.
I have a boatload of stuff to catch up on; fic to beta, advent drabble reading and writing, and some holiday art to come. I'm glad to be back!

So....not up for full fic-length stuff, but I really should try to write something this month.  So I offer to those who are still reading this journal the chance to get a Holiday drabble from me.

Two things today:

Thing one--Merlin.

Thing two--Sims 3.

Since Sims 2, my first and most-important cheat mod is the same-sex pregnancy patch.  Easy enough to find.  One of the earliest patches to come into existence.  However, there is, no shock, a group of modders/players who don't like that mod, or think it worthy of attention.

One of the new sets of mods this time around is facial sliders and body sliders to make for more extreme modding of the way the sims look.  Which is great.  Right?  Except that the first patch hasn't been updated since the game has been patched to 1.3.  Their reason?  There's a "great mod" out there that does it instead.  Except this mod?  (The Awesomemod, in case you're wondering)  Mods a *TON* of things.  Sure, you can configure *some* of the mod.  But it's a global mod.  Which means if you have any other mods that affect overall gameplay?  It makes them not work.  Like a same-sex patch.  And the one request I saw to have them add a same-sex pregnancy component was met with an extremely rude reaction.  So no help there.

So....my choice has basically become either live without kids for same sex couples, which I refuse to do, or live without the sliders, which at this point annoys me *almost* as much.

Backstory- I play 'Mafia Wars' on Facebook. It's put out by 'Zynga'.

Last week, a player named 'Terry Tibbs', suddenly started hitlisting me, repeatedly, 6-7+ times a day, over the course of 3 days. Naturally, I retaliated. Mind you, I have a [now] 233 health, and a [now] 400 defense, as well as a 38 Stamina. That means, I can sit here and beat your ass repeatedly, 15-20 times in a row before I need to heal myself. Which is what I did, as well as getting my own Mafia after him.

For THREE DAYS. He'd hitlist me, I'd retaliate.

5 days ago, my account was suspended for several hours. It took FIVE DAYS to get a response.

I would like to know what in the world is going on. To the best of my knowledge, I have not violated any ToS whatsoever.

So I would appreciate information into this matter, as I am not happy with your service, and quite frankly, feel like quitting the game. "

OH HELL NO.

You just accused me of using a cheat in the course of defending myself. The ONLY game I have EVER used a cheat on was and is The Sims2.

This was my response back-

So what you are telling me is that despite the fact that at the time of the suspension, *I* had been repeatedly hitlist, for 3 days straight, by the same person with no prior attacks, etc on this person, who decided to hitlist me 6-7+ times a DAY, for THREE DAYS straight, that when I retaliated by attacking him in return, and repeatedly asking my Mafia to attack, and that because I have a high Health and high stamina, it appears that I was using a 'bot' program.

So basically, in the course of PLAYING YOUR GAME, I was falsely accused of using a bot.

I call bull.

What you are essentially saying/claiming is that I can be repeatedly hitlist by someone I've never seen before, and when I stick up for myself, *I* will be punished for it.

Got it.

I'll keep that in mind and the next time I get hitlist 6-7+ times a damn day, I will flood your damn support box with reports on him. Otherwise, when I retaliate, I might just get accused of using a damn bot program again. "

Complete and utter bullshit on Zynga's part. I KNEW when I got suspended that it had to have been that asshole who kept hitlisting me. I KNEW it. Well, fine, next time an asshole repeatedly hitlists me out of nowhere, I will file a harrassment report against them.

After all, according to Zynga, they MUST be cheating.


I know it's just a game, and a free one at that, however, I was accused of cheating and that, I take exception to.

"You are full of shit.

I do not use cheats, I do not use Bots, I do not use hacks.

I know damn well I was falsely accused of any of the above, or possibly of harassment.

And as I stated in my last comment on this ‘question’ that you blatantly refuse to answer properly, I will now flood your damn support box with harassment reports when I am hitlisted repeatedly, over and over again, by the same person. Because otherwise, if I retaliate, *I* will again get accused of cheating.

And you can be sure that everyone in my Mafia will hear of this."

It will not surprise me to find my Mafia Wars account completely shut down after this.
