Mom made sweet potatoes that were twice baked. MY FAVORITE!!!! See, she was mashing them for the second time to be baked and some flew out of the bowl. I caught it in the air, then kept careful watch for more escapees. nomnomnomnom.

I had green beans, peas, potatoes and other veggies last week. I'm not sure why we all went to gramma's house, but I had fun. I licked my bowl clean, even got the memory of the smell cleaned out of my bowl according to Dad. *tail wags*

I recently mentioned a lady at church who is sad because her children are so far away from her. They raised enough money. Mom said other parishes in the diocese and some private individuals made donations, and the children will be here on the 4th of this month! *barks*
We gave their mother some warm winter hats, mittens and a coat for one of the children because they are coming from equitorial Africa to here. Mom says it's a lot warmer where they are right now and they need winter coats when they arrive here.

After mass today, Mom and I sat in the parish hall during coffee hour. A very nice lady from Liberia sat with us. She was very sad. Mom asked her how she was doing and she replied; "I am surviving."

Mr. Sworh came here first, he managed to raise enough money to bring his wife over before her visa expired. The parish has been trying to help them raise the air fare for their three children.

Jack is two years old and a very naughty boy. He took to clawing everyone and everything in the house. Mom used sprays, super soakers, and noise to get him to stop. He just kept on clawing things up.

Mom went back to work. I don't like it. *puppy pout* She's gone forever and ever then is too tired to move when she gets home.

We have a friend come play with us every day. *tail wags* He's a friend of our youngest human and he likes to sit on the floor and tussle with me. My Favorite!

Missy had to see the vet today. Daddy took us and we got loved on by everyone at the clinic. Missy is doing well and now has to take benedryl twice a day. This is for her allergies. Her legs shake sometimes, and she's easily tired by the heat, but she is doing well. Mom checks her over every day for more nasty bumps. So far, there is the big one on the back of Missy's head and some small ones on her body. The doctor said Missy is fine.

The cats are cats. They tease us and try to steal our foods. We sometimes chase them. Prissy kitty has taken to greeting people at the door like us dogs. She still doesn't want to be touched, but she seems to enjoy civilized behavior and sniffs everyone over very carefully when they visit.

There's a squirrel barking...gotta chase it! *wild barks*

Mom keeps saying how she needs to take a picture of Jack next to us dogs. I think that's not necessary. He's a cat, so who cares what he looks like. *tail wags*

Today we went to the vet! My Favorite! I sat on the scales and got weighed, then I went to the counter to say hello to the staff. They laugh when I stand on my hind legs to see them. Missy sniffed out the food display and managed to convince the office help we needed treats.

Both of us had our shots updated and Mom also updated the contact info on my microchip since our phone number changed recently. After all that, Missy had the bumps on the back of her head "aspirated" and the gunk that came out is being sent off for testing. The Doctor agrees with Mom that Missy has 'won' in the genetic crap shoot. She's got allergies but and entropian, but that's it and she's twelve now.

We came home and had puppy power naps followed by supper, patroling the yard, and watching 1776 with Mom and Dad. They both have entire sections of the movie memorized and quote along with it. I like it when Mom sings. She doesn't do that often enough.

Time for the late night yard patrol, then I'm off to bed. *licks and tail wags*

Hey all, it's the Fledermaushund here. You cannot believe how much Mom hogs the computer. I tried asking Dad for my own computer but he said not until I get a job.

Today is Missy's birthday. Mom says she turned 12 today. *tail wags* I wonder if that means we get extra treats?

Mom told me today she will be closing my journal over on LJ land. That's all right with me, I think it's confuzzeling having things posted in more than one place.

Missy is doing better and better. Her allergies are clearing up with the special shampoo and medicines. She hates her new allergin-free food. I don't blame her. It makes her gassy and none of us want to be around when she breaks wind.

Jack got in trouble last night. He was playing with my goose in the dining room after everyone went to bed. Daddy came down and told him off for making so much noise beating the plushie against the chairs.

Prissy still thinks she is the diva kitty, queen of the universe. Some things never change. *snorts*

It's cooler here and the days are shorter. I just wish Mom felt well enough to take long walks with me. I'd love to go sniff around the woods. Maybe this winter she will be ready to get back to exercising with me.

Oh well, *tail wags* There's a squirrel in my yard and I must subdue it. Those things are evil!
